Yes, I'm stuffing two things into the same post today! Sometimes you just have to muti-task! :) Or kill two birds with one stone, rather. lol
On to the gift cards... and yes, gift cards. Plural. I had forgotten to do a random drawing on August 1st for the $10 Amazon g/c recipient who had signed up for my mailing list! Bad Susan! And the winners are (for the month of Aug and Sept)...
Desiree T. and Shannon F. Congrats, ladies! :) I'll be sending them your way via email.
Now about the Goodreads lists!
My first book of The Alyx Rayer Series is on three different lists on Goodreads! How cool! If you've read it and have a Goodreads profile, I'd like to encourage you to vote below:
New Authors to Read
Indie Authors to Watch (Both Marked for Vengeance AND Tethered by Fate are on this list)
Wounded Warriors of Romance (Both Marked for Vengeance AND Tethered by Fate are on this list)
Much love and have a wonderful three-day weekend!

Girl on Fire
Listening to music as I'm writing my third and final book of the Alyx Rayer Series, Destined for Fire, and Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire" song came on and I thought to myself, now THAT would be a great soundtrack song for this book!
Like I've mentioned before, music and writing go hand in hand for me, so I've decided to share at least one song that particularly inspired me while writing each book in the series:
Book One: Enchanted by Taylor Swift
Book Two: Turning Pages by Sleeping at Last
Book Three: Girl on Fire

Cover Reveal for "Tethered by Fate", Book Two of the Alyx Rayer Chronicles!
As I work on readying my next book for public consumption on Dec 1st, I'm practically brimming with excitement! And to top it off, I just received the cover art for "Tethered by Fate"! Thank you, Brittany, for your wonderful illustrative talents and for making my vision come to life.
As you can see, there's a theme to the covers with the gold symbols. For those of you who aren't aware of what these symbols are, they're Celtic and I use them to represent the different types of Angels. The Triquetra on the first cover represents many things, but in my series it's used as the marking of Protection. The symbol on the second cover is that of a Duir and, as far as the Celtic meaning goes, means "strength, stability, and nobility" and is the marking of the Warrior Angels who are introduced in this second book.
Of course, the feather represents something, as well, (just as the moth did on the first cover) but I don't want to give that away!

Book Summary Reveal for "Tethered by Fate"
I can't believe it's almost time to publish the second book of my Alyx Rayer series! I'm so excited to share this next part of the story with the world. The first book is near and dear to my heart, as it was when I first discovered who the main characters were and fell in love with them indefinately, but this second book was the most exciting to write. No question. Dynamic characters fill the pages, along with steam and grit.
And so, as I await my cover art from the wonderfully talented Brittany Bowman, I've hunkered down to come up with a Book Summary that captures the essence of this story. Its short, sweet, and hopefully intriguing. :-)
I hope I did it justice.
SUMMARY:
"Where fate would take the both of them now, Isaac wasn’t sure, but either way their paths were irrevocably tethered."
Hurled into the midst of a holy war between the sinister fallen Angel of War and their beloved Creator, gifted humans, Angels, and Spirit Guides unite to create a formidable, ethereal army. With the imminent battle only days away, continue to follow the story that captivated your hearts as a Protector Angel named Alyx struggles with her own inner conflicts between right and wrong, love and honor.
Passionate, engaging, and filled with surprising twists and turns - see which path fate will lead our beloved Angel down next in this second book of the Alyx Rayer Chronicles.
May not be suitable for YA.
